AI assisted development is welcome.
It is not helpful to distinguish between AI-written and human-written code when judging contributions. The same standards apply both ways in that code should be correct, understandable, maintainable, properly tested, and consistent with the project standards.
AI tools can be used for coding, debugging, refactoring, documentation, research, testing, or anything else that helps.
Contributors are responsible for the code they submit. Do not merge code you don’t understand, don’t trust generated claims about APIs or behaviour without verifying, and don’t use AI as an excuse for unnecessary complexity or poor quality output.
Use AI freely but the result is your responsibility.
